India May 21 1998 (Reuters) - India wants to held
talks over the "outlook" of a new nuclear tests moratorium
with powerful nations including Pakistan and China.

On Thursday India claimed Pakistan would have tried to hide a
military movement in Kashmir in committing border attacks.



New York May 21 1998 (Reuters) - Commonwealth Edison and CO
(Comed) plans to dismiss about 30 percent of its employees
working in the nuclear  generation group of the company. The
almost 320 employees will be dismissed because of 'wokforce
realignment'.



BOSTON

penalty of $55
000 from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission
because of security violations at its Pilgrim nuclear plant.
A spokeswoman of the company said that they most properly
would accept to pay.



WASHINGTON
May 21 1998 (Reuters) - The US Nuclear Regulatory
Commission is satisfied with improvements Northeast Utilities
made at its Millstone Unit 3 nuclear power plant.
At June 2 a possible restart will be discussed after further
inspectations.
To put Millstone 3 back online Northeast Utilities got a
deadline till 1 July from Connecticut regulators otherwise
Millstone 3 will striked out from the company`s electricity
rate base.

May 19 1998 (UPI) - After a similar case had
been reversed by the federal appellate court the Nuclear
Regulatory Commission (NRC) decided that an American Electric
Power and Co. employee has to renounce on a fine his employer
had to pay him.
The employee accused American Electric Power and Co on
discrimination after having reported about a radioation
exposure to the NRC.
