after serving two third of his sentence has been rejected by a parole
board. He was sentenced to eighteen years for espionage in 1986 for
telling the Sunday Times Israel was secretly building atomic bombs.

1998 - Northeast Utilities expects to bring
Millstone 3 npp back to full operation before July 1. If the plant is not
in operation by that time the state Department of Public Utility Control
(DPUC) will cut revenue requirements of Northeast subsidiary Connecticut
Light & Power Co. (CL&P) by $13.2 million per month.

scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan has offered plans for nuclear weapons to
Iraq. Documents from Iraq's secret service suggest so. Pakistan denies
any involvement.

1998 - The head of Ukraine's Chernobyl npp
Serhiy Parashin
has been ousted after a dispute with Energoatom. Energoatom was created
January 1st of this year to supervise the five Ukrainian npp's.
