Cassini launched to its seven year lasting mission to Saturn
without any problems.

Oct 15 `97 (Reuters) - A timebomb of sunken
russian nuclear submarines and nuclear waste is ticking in the
Barrent sea by the uninhabited arctic island of Novaya Zemlya.
It is able to contaminate the adjoining waters of Finland
Sweden
and Norway. Oslo has allowed for about 315 million crowns ($44.7
million) as prevention of a nuclear disaster.
Another problem is the growing store of nuclear waste in Russia
like spent nuclear fuel rods  for which`s reprocession there`s
no money left.

Oct. 15 `97 (UPI) -- Cassini now started
its mission to investigate Saturn and to send a European Space
Agency-built probe to Saturn`s largest moon Titan.  Therefore 15
years of development and billions of dollars were needed.
Critics fear a possible accident which would spread plutonium
dust in the stratosphere when Cassini will fly by earth in 1999.
