Jun 9, 1997 (?Reuter) - Frinds of the Earth strongly
criticised a plan of British Nuclear Fuels to transport highly
radioactive waste by plane to its Sellafield facility for
reprocessing. The company confirmed that transport by air was
one of the options considered.

International is considering to shut down its San Ofore
nuclear plant next spring for a short time for checking the
steam generators, after a erosion at the heat transfer tube
was discoverd during the recent refuelling. The plant will
restart at June 26.
