May 5, 1997 (UPI) - The fire surpression sprinkler-system
flooded the main transformer of the Davis-Besse nuclear plant
east of Toledo on sunday, causing the reactor to automatically
shut down. It is not clear yet what activated that measure,
and the reactor remained shut down on Monday. Utility
officials exclude a fire.

May 8, 1997 (Reuter) - The Japanese gouvernment has asked the
U.S. management and technology consultancy firm Anderson
Consulting to review the troubled PNC. The findings of
Anderson shall help to restructre the state-run nuclear
company.
