Radiation and Public Health Project, stated that radiation
released at the Chernobyl accident caused a 30 percent
increase in leukemia cases among children aged under one year
born in 1986-1987.

Californian plan to build a nuclear waste storage in Mojave
Desert. They hang a 11m by 8m banner on the State Capitol
Building which said, "No Radioactive Waste Dump at Ward
Valley! Save the Colorado  River and Sacred Indian Lands".

University Dean Hiroyuki Yoshioka was formed to review the
state-run PNC. Science and Technology Minister Chikaoka, under
fire from the opposition, said the findings of the panel could
include "the possibility of a complete  disbandment" of the
cooperation.

Apr 18, 1997 (UPI) - According to the Chigago Sun-Times
Commonwealth Edison plans to close its Zion nuclear power
plant sonner than the originally cosidered date of 2005.
Utility officials pointed out, that that closure is strictly
for economic reasons.

PNC denied to comment.

the Russian "Factory X" east of the Urals by two drunken
workmen in 1993, the German Newspaper reported, citing the

Vladimir Orlov. The weapons were found in a garage soon after.
