Mar 19, 1997 (UPI) - Radioactive Radium-paint airplane parts,
which were bought for re-sale in 1993 and stored in an
abandoned West Michigan Warehouse are to be cleaned up. The
Environmental proctection agency estimates $12 million to be
necessary for safe storage. Radium dust from the 20,000 parts
can leak into environment at the moment.

Mar 19, 1997 (Reuter) - China and the United states began
talks on arms conrol and nuclear technology issues. This was
stated by US embassy official. Key discussion is about
implementaton of a 1985 agreement wich allows export of
nuclear technologies from US to China.

Mar 19, 1997 (Reuter) - Long Island Lighning Co. and Brookly
Union Gas, who last December had announced to merge, made
details of the deal public, among them handling of debts and
the woriied shoreham nuclear power plant, which nerver
operated. Long Island, New York City, electricity rates are
expected to drop by 20 percent next year through the merge.

Mar 19, 1997 (Reuter) - The NRC is in slight opposition to
Northeast Utility's plan to re-open Unit 3 of its Millstone
nuclear power plant in May. The station is wholly shut down
since March 1996 for safety concerns.
