28 Sep 1996 (Reuter) - An agreement about protocols concerning
the building of a light-water reactor in North-Korea through
an international consortium headed by the US was reached on
Saturday. To end up North-Korea's suspected nuclear weapon's
programme, the consortium will provide $4.5 billion in nuclear
power plants and alternative energy supplies.

29 Sep 1996 (UPI) -- A top-to-bottom inspection of the
Commonwealth Edison's nuclear power plant in Dresden, 60 miles
south of Chicago, USA, shall determine wether or not the plant
can be removed from the NRC's national list of the worst
nuclear plants. Several safety-improvements were stated, but
similar advanteges in the past didn't sustain. ComEd was fined
already US$5.7 million for lacks of safety since it opened
it's first commercial reactor in the 1970's.


29 Sep 1996 (Reuter) - Four days afer it was opened for
signature, already 92 nations had signed the nuclear test ban
treaty. India stated it will sign this ``unequal traty not
now, nor later''.
