The paper published an excerpt from a report by a senior U.S. officer on the incident involving a Mark Six Nagasaki-type bomb. Britain's Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament has been claiming for weeks that the ministry covered up the gravity of a number of accidents involving nuclear weapons in Britain in the 1950s. It says that fissile material leaked in an incident at Greenham Common, another U.S. base. Aug. 19, 1996 (Reuter) - India has written to the United States expressing hope a draft CTB Treaty can be amended to take into account New Delhi's strong objections. India wants the pact to impose a strict nuclear disarmament time table on the five declared nuclear powers -- Britain, China, France, Russia and the United States.
