Aug. 15 1996 (UPI) -- FBI agents Thursday were investigating a
``malicious tampering'' incident at a Florida nuclear power
plant where back-up safety switches were found glued shut the
day before. Wednesday after workers discovered glue in three
locked switches. The switches were in a back-up control room
that plant operators could use to shut down the nuclear units
in the event the main control room became unusable. It was the
second incident in three weeks, company officials said. In the
first occurence, glue had been placed in the doors of several
lockers.
