The uranium was found last week in a bank safety deposit box in the southern town of Ulm. The material consisted partly of low-grade natural uranium and partly of more fissile enriched uranium. State prosecutors said they acted on a tip-off from Austrian police who told them the man was trying to sell the uranium for $1 million. June 5 (Reuter) - Ukrainian Environment Minister Yuri Kostenko has urged the G7 to stop talking and start handing over the money needed to close the country's Chernobyl nuclear power station. "Ukraine has not received one cent for closing the station," Kostenko said on Tuesday, the eve of a two-day meeting with donor countries. A Western delegation of more than 28 people, led by France's Claude Mandil, Nuclear Safety Working Group president, is in Kiev to press Ukraine to close the site. June 5 (Reuter) - India's new centre-left government said it would retain the option to build nuclear weapons until universal nuclear disarmament was achieved. India is under pressure to sign a global Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty being negotiated in Geneva. New Delhi says the treaty is discriminatory and legitimises the possession of nuclear arms in the hands of a few nations while blocking other countries' access to them. Islamabad says it will not sign it unless India does first.
