      15 April 1996 (Reuter) - Experts have completed
ambitious resolutions on nuclear security to be put to a
summit of the Group of Seven countries and Russia in Moscow
this week, an official French source said. The source said
Chirac and Russian President Boris Yeltsin, who will jointly
chair the meeting, had a 30-minute telephone conversation on
Monday and agreed its prospects looked good.

      15 April 1996 (UPI) - Russian leaders will not discuss a
controversial contract to build a nuclear reactor in Iran
during a nuclear safety summit they  are hosting later this
week, a nuclear energy official said. Atomic Energy Ministry
spokesman Georgy Kaurov said the planned reactor poses no
nuclear proliferation threat and that U.S. opposition to the
$800 million deal is irrelevant and will not be discussed at
the summit.
