March 11, 1996 (Reuter) - France, co-president of a conference on nuclear safety in Moscow next month to be attended by the G-7 and Russia, said that Ukraine had been invited to part of the meeting. Ukraine and the G-7 countries agreed last December on the closure before the year 2000 of the Chernobyl nuclear power station. Ukraine was invited because of the importance for that country of the subjects to be discussed, a French official said.
