      20 Feb 1996 (Reuter) - A controversial shipment of
nuclear fuel rods from Germany was expected to arrive in
Hungary by early on Wednesday, government sources said, but
without the protests that have dogged the train through
Germany. Environmentalists here say acceptance of the rods
raises safety concerns, but it also makes no commercial sense
for Hungary which would eventually have to pay for disposal of
the nuclear waste they produce.
