     3 Jan 1996 (Reuter) - Taiwan plans to send its first
shipment of low-level radioactive nuclear waste for dumping in
Russia between June and August, an official of the state-run
utility Taiwan Power (Taipower) Company, said. Waste is now
dumped on Orchid Island, off Taiwan's southeast coast, but the
site will be full in less than two years.
