      12 Dec 1995 (UPI) - Nuclear authorities did not follow
the rules after discovering a coolant leak at an experimental
reactor, a Japanese daily reported. Last Friday's spill of
corrosive sodium coolant called for an immediate shutdown at
the experimental Monju fast breeder, the Yomiuri Shimbun
newspaper reported. But authorities took almost an hour and a
half to stop  operations at the Monju reactor, the semi-public
Power Reactor and Nuclear Fuel Development Corp. reported
Monday.
