This notice was issued to all operating uranium recovery facilties that produce uranium oxide powder (yellowcake) to alert them to recent incidents involving strong exothermic reactions that occurred during the packaging of low-temperature, or vacuum-dried U3O8 hydrogen peroxide precipitated (yellowcake) powder.
