NRC INFORMATION NOTICE 98-37: Eligibility of Operator License Applicants,

The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission is issuing this information      
notice to remind addressees that the eligibility requirements for        
applying for an operator license have not changed since 10 CFR Part 55

Subject: American Electric Power Engineering Announces Organization Chang

Discussion:

Rick Eckstein, American Electric Power Chief Nuclear Engineer, announced 
changes last Friday, September 25, 1998, to the nuclear engineering      
organization.                                                            
                                                                         
Those individuals reporting to the Chief Nuclear Engineer will be as     
follows: Don Hafer, Plant Engineering Director; Terry Beilman,           
Engineering Support Manager; Gary Weber and Paul Schoepf, Design Basis   
Reconstruction Project and Restart Issues Resolution; Ken Baker,         
Engineering Education Manager; Tom Quaka, Engineering Effectiveness      
Manager; and Terry Postlewait, Design Engineering Director.
