Subject: NRC Information Notice Concerning Dissemination of Criminal     
         History Records Information                                     


Discussion:

The NRC intends to issue an Information Notice that addresses concerns   
about criminal history records that may have been seen by unauthorized   
people.                                                                  
                                                                         
The proposed notice, "Criminal History Record Information (CHRI)", will  
discuss a recent clarification, by the Federal Bureau of Investigation,  
of the legal constraints associated with who may be provided access to

Subject: SITE VISIT BY U.S. REPRESENTATIVE EHRLICH (MD)                  

Discussion:

On January 22, 1998, Congressman Robert Ehrlich, Jr., Republican,        
Maryland's 2nd District, toured the control room and other areas of the  
Peach Bottom facility with senior licensee officials.  Representative    
Ehrlich met the NRC Senior Resident Inspector in passing.  The           
Congressman did not hold a press conference and did not express concern  
regarding the plant's operations.
