Subject: VIRGINIA POWER ANNOUNCES NEW VICE PRESIDENT                     

Discussion:

On April 21, Virginia Power Company announced the assignment of          
Ms. Leslie N. Hartz, Manager - Nuclear Engineering, to the position of   
Vice President - Nuclear Engineering and Services, effective May 1, 1998.
Ms. Hartz will replace Mr. Robert F. Saunders who is retiring from the   
company. Ms. Hartz's former position will be filled by Mr. Bruce Leonard 
who is on temporary detail from INPO for two years.
