The deregulation of the electrical industry that allow independent power generation could significantly affect the design bases of the offsite power system. The recent degraded power system conditions/events and the anticipated industry changes will be addressed in an information notice to alert the licenses of potential problems in maintaining reliable offsite power for nuclear stations.
