Subject: MANAGEMENT REORGANIZATION                                       

Discussion:

On January 14, 1998, NMPC announced that Mr. John H. Mueller was elected 
as a Senior Vice President and will succeed Mr. B. Ralph Sylvia as the   
Chief Nuclear Officer for the Nine Mile Point site.  The change will be  
effective January 19, 1998.  Mr. Sylvia retains his posiion of Executive 
Vice President and will remain at Nine Mile Point until his planned      
retirement mid-1998.  Mr. Sylvia has been with NMPC since 1990.          
                                                                         
Mr. Mueller was most recently the Site Vice President of Commonwealth    
Edison's Zion facility, and had been Vice President of Nuclear Energy for
the Nebraska Public Power District, owner and operator of the Cooper     
nuclear facility. Mr. Mueller held previous management positions at the  
Nine Mile Point Unit 2 facility, including Plant Manager.
