Subject: PERSONNEL CHANGES                                               

Discussion:

Northern States Power announced today that Mr. Byron Day has been        
promoted to the position of General Superintendent of Operations, and    
will report directly to the Plant Manager. Mr. Day was the former        
Training Manager. At this time, no replacement has been announced for the
Training Manager position. Mr. Onnen, the former General Superintendent  
of Operations, will be working in the Operations Training Branch.
