Subject: STARTUP FOLLOWING REFUELING                                     

Discussion:

ComEd's Braidwood Station Unit 2 was started up on November 14, 1997,    
following a 50-day refueling outage. The reactor was taken critical at   
3:01 p.m, November 14 and the turbine-generator was synchronized to the  
grid at 12:43 a.m, on November 15, 1997.                                 

Regional Action:

The start up was observed by the resident inspectors.
