MR Number: 3-97-0078 Clinton 1 Date: 07/03/97 Clinton,Illinois LETTER DATED JULY 3, 1997 Dockets: 50-461 BWR/GE-6 Subject: ORGANIZATIONAL AND MANAGEMENT CHANGES Discussion: The licensee informed the Region by letter that a new organization was being established at the site. The Licensing, Corrective Action, Independent Safety Engineering Group (ISEG), Independent Analysis Group, Employee Concerns, and Strategic Planning (including long-term improvement oversight function) functions will be grouped in a new department. This new department will report to the Manager, Nuclear Safety and Performance Improvement. Mr. Richard F. Phares has been named to fill this position. Mr. Phares was formally the Assistant to the Vice President. The Manager, Nuclear Safety and Performance Improvement will report directly to the Vice President. The licensee informed the resident inspectors that Mr. Gary Baker had been named to be Manager, Quality Assurance, a role he had been filling on a temporary basis since December, 1996.
