Weavexx Corporation (licensee) offered a reward for the nuclear gauge through the local media. The licensee was contacted the next day by an ex-policeman who had found it behind a fence near a restaurant in Columbus, OH. The licensee took the nuclear gauge from the ex-policeman and gave him a reward. The transportation case was found damaged, but the nuclear gauge itself was undamaged. The licensee planned to use the nuclear gauge as soon as new transportation case is acquired. The licensee planned to perform a leak test on the nuclear gauge during the week of September 8, 1997.
