Subject: HARRIS MANAGEMENT CHANGES                                       

Discussion:

Carolina Power and Light Company (CP&L) announced an organizational      
change at the Harris Nuclear Plant today.  The change added a Director of
Site Operations position that will report to the Site Vice President,    
Bill Robinson.  Reporting to the Director of Site Operations will be the 
Plant General Manager and the Harris Engineering Support Services        
Manager.  The change will bring the Harris organizational structure in   
alignment with the other two CP&L sites.  The Director of Site Operations
will be Joe Donahue, the current Plant General Manager, and the new Plant
General Manager will be Brozia (Bo) Clark, the current Maintenance       
Manager at the Robinson facility.  These changes will be effective on    
June 17, 1996.
