Discussion:

On July 31, 1995, NU announced a reduction in their nuclear workforce of 
250 positions within the next six months. NU will make use of an early   
retirement program for up to 170 of the positions, with the remaining    
reduction through involuntary separation. The reduction in force will    
affect the Haddam Neck, Seabrook, and Millstone stations, and the NU     
Berlin office. NU currently has approximately 3200 employees.
