Discussion:

The licensee completed a 56-day Unit 1 refueling and maintenance outage  
on July 2, 1994, at 1 p.m. (CDT), when the unit was synchronized to the  
grid. Major work accomplished during the outage in addition to refueling 
included performance of steam generator eddy current inspection, 10-year 
inservice inspection of the reactor vessel, completion of the electrical 
systems upgrade project (installation of new 480V safeguards electrical  
switchgear), completion of Generic Letter 89-10 motor-operated valve     
testing, and performance of a containment building integrated leak rate  
test.
