NRC Information Notice 94-41, "Problems with General Electric Type CR124 
Overload Relay Ambient Compensation," will be issued June 7, 1994.       
                                                                         
The NRC is alerting addressees to the potential for out-of-tolerance     
ambient compensation in certain configurations of General Electric (GE)

Discussion:

The NS Savannah arrived at the Moon Engineering Company pier at Hampton  
Roads, VA mid-afternoon on Wednesday, 6/1/94.  The ship was secured at   
the pier with security in place and operational by 2000 hours.           

Regional Action:

The region continues to monitor the situation and will perform an        
inspection after the ship arrives at dry dock in Baltimore.
