Brave New World: Activists

The International Action Movement has focussed on the the disasterous Corporate Globalization that George Bush (Sr.) Labeled "The New World Order" in 1991. During the 90's corporations were given free reign on their agenda of government influence in the U.S. and elsewhere. NAFTA, GATT and the World Trade Organization's agenda of removing local, regional and national governments from control over their own labor rights, economic resources and environmental protections spurred an international movement that has grown into a powerful force.

Since 9/11, attempts to bury the movement have been a major agenda for W. Bush and his pro-corporate allies. The movement in Europe continues to grow in vocal opposition to EU and WTO agendas. The concerns that organizers in the U.S. could be targeted for repressive government retaliation has had a chilling effect on the U.S. branch of the movement. The standard mainstream media tactic of censoring the movement has also escalated.

This page includes a list of some of the resources available on this vital movement to protect workers rights, the ecology and reverse the loss of democratic values.
